It's Time To Close Guantanamo Bay

I guess I’m officially changing my position on Guantanamo Bay.  As you know up till now I saw no problem with leaving things the way they are now because the prison serves a good function right where it is.  And if terrorists dread being sent there, then so much the better.  But they held a hearing by Dick Derbin.  For some reason Ted Cruise was the highest ranking Republican on the committee.  How did he get such a plum assignment being a freshman senator, and how did he get to be as it were the minority party leader of it?  Most of the witnesses called were learned men and women- - in areas such as the military- - or being a JAG defense council- - or a medical psychiatrist- - or a human rights representative.  However this one old gizer was called and I wasn’t sure what reason he had for eve being there aside that he was head of a lot of conservative action committees.  He and Cruise issued what appeared to be a lot of “canned” inflamed rhetoric and the usual diatribes against the President- - and saying that we are virtually in a perpetual war with terrorism.  So not even when the “War” is over next year, can Prisoners hope to get justice.  It makes no sense.  The situation appears to be complete chaos with people held there on little or no grounds, and of course George Bush released a bunch of people and wanted to release more.  But all that old guy could think of was “We are sending these Imams into the prisons and they are a recruiting basis for terrorism”.  He spoke of nearby cities to Federal prisons being in a state of constant danger from terrorism.  He also spoke of how prisoners if they “had more rights” would organize terrorist groups from within the prison walls.  Dick Derbin had to set this guy straight about a lot of things, and the guy plainly admitted he’d never been inside a Super-Max federal prison.  I guess I didn’t know that MOST of the CIA torturing took place right at Guantanamo Bay.  I thought it may have taken place at diverse locations.  Apparently rather than being less expensive- - as I had supposed- - it’s MORE expensive to house prisoners at Guantanamo.  I figured since it was an old prison not in the best of repair- - that we were housing all these people on the cheap.  So I myself was set straight about a few things.

I continue to have a problem with raising the minimum wage in this country to nine dollars an hour.  Perhaps though the President could have made it a less threatening $8.75 and then negotiated it down to a manageable $8.25 - which I could live with.  They say that this minimum wage hike will give the working poor more spending money but these hikes in the minimum wage have a long track record of raising the national unemployment rate.  As the saying goes "You don't get something for nothing".  Of course Preident Clinton reminded us a while back that had the minimum wage kept up with inflation since 1968 that the minimum wage would stand at $10.40 an hour now, which sounds good to me at the moment.  Just think of what all of that additional money could buy.  Everyone agrees that worker production has gone in a straight line upward, whereas wages have not kept up with inflation.  You'll remember that Paula Dean when she talked about her Grandfather losing his - - - "Workers" she was referring to Slaves, a word that doesn't appear in the body of the Constitution.  That's how self conscious the Founding Fathers were about the word.  These Republicans aren't t all against the presence of "Minorities" in this country if they "stay in their place" as hotel maids and the like, driving down the wage base.  But heaven forbid any act of congress that would enable them to hold their heads high as proud Americans on an equal footing with Whites.

This is just after one thirty on Saturday 27th.   They had women’s beach volleyball on four and one wonders whether those skimpy bathing suits make it more inconvienient to play.  They held the annual Surfing contest last week in Huntington Beach and I’m told the water was around seventy.  Of course they finished up the Tour de France last weekend.   Dr. Levy has gone six Saturdays without showing up tying last year’s record.  My blogger numbers have shot way up the past couple of days, which surprises me because I didn’t think the last two postings were that good.  Of course the information in the latest posting is actually from an earlier source than information in the previous blog post.  I had Leo Le Port on after noon and he states that he doesn’t like Outlook calendar.  I’ve heard a lot of people say they don’t like to use Outlook and I’m not sure why but I don’t use it either.  They say that USB drive powered aux hard drives are OK but they spin at the “slower rate” of 5600 rpms instead of the higher 7800 rpms of drives you plug into a power source.  I don’t see why that would be any particular problem.  Now they have a gadget that lets you gesture with your hands that reads your body motion via infrared rays- - that you can buy for seventy dollars and Leo will give it a proper review “just as soon as I can get it to work”.   New inventions always take time.  Leo had to remind people that when all else fails look in the DOS directory.  I guess I’m one of the few “geeks” who still makes use of that.

Last night there was an exchange on the show that went like this.  “Just because Time Travel is a theoretical impossability, that doesn’t mean that couldn’t happen”.  And Bones correctly said “That’s Exactly - - what it means”.  If she hadn’t said it, I would have”.  Just remember the thought image of the kiddy’s alphabet blocks.  You can rearrange the order of a series of them without pulling one or more blocks out of the line, and this violates the axiom of linear time.  James Dobson, in order to cover for God says that “All things are possible with God” in scripture has to be taken with more than a few grains of salt.  For instance were you to ask God “How many Jews was it possible to save from the Nazi extermination camps”.  And you could repeat the same exchange Abraham had with God in Genesis.  “Could you save perhaps half, a quarter, a tenth - - - ten Jews?”  And God would have to say “I could not save Ten Jews.  This would be a theoretical impossibility.  Prior to the discovery of the Higg’s bozon last year, it would have been argued that - - - travel ten thousand times the speed of light through space was a virtual impossability.  But the Higg’s bozon changed all that for the reason that “Q” mentioned in a Star Trek episode in which he’d lost his powers.  He said, “Oh that’s easy to solve - - just change the gravitational constant”.  Now we can do that.  Hence we can now throw out the old rule book where formerly theoreticians were trapped by their own mathematical equations.

Chris Matthews seems to have developed an almost unhealthy Wiener fascination on his past two shows.  But I would like to focus in on his closing remarks about the fact that the tea party Republicans have always hated this president.  You’d think they would have worked with him when he first got elected and given him the customary “honeymoon” period that’s given to new occupiers of the White House.  They didn’t.  Do they hate him for capturing Bin Laden and removing that as a political issue?  Do they hate him because he doubled the capital worth of so many of them when the stock market and their 401 K’s doubled?  Do they hate him because he]’s an educated, well spoken man whose anger threshold is lightyears ahead than mine, let me tell you.  Do they hate him because Eric Holder wants to look into the Texas voter rediscricting scandal?  Let’s keep in mind Holder is doing this because redistricting for purposes of gaining a racial advantage is prohibited, and Texas knows that.  Do they hate Obama because he wants to bring eleven million minorities out of the shadows of legality?  Do they hate Obama when he says “If you don’t like my economic ideas, then lets see you offer your own economic plan”.   Do they hate him because “Texas is in danger of turning from red to at least purple now with all these Mexican minorities”.    They have done some really acrobatic jerrymandering of districts to cheat Latinos out of their due representation.  Maybe they hate the President for some of these reasons but most of all they hate him because he’s Black.  There is just no way to get around this sad fact of American politics in 2013.  No other President aside perhaps from Andrew Johnson was subjected to the kind of pandemic vitriol that President Obama has.  It’s fueled by the burning fires of racism that just won’t go away.  That burning natural gas on that platform in the Gulf last week was extinguished but you can’t extinguish the racism of these people.  Trying to reason with ANY of them on matters of economics is pointless.  So much is riding on the 2014 elections not just in Congress but in State houses such as Michigan and Wisconsin, which formerly were blue states and now have been hijacked by republicans.  They don’t just want to do damage now, but want to do the sort of damage that will be in effect way after they have been voted out of office.  None of them can hold a civil conversation.  Every word out of their mouths is so steeped in lies it’s hard to unwravle them all in just one sitting.  John Boehner and others lied when they said “We gave you your tax hike at the beginning of the year so don’t complain about that”.  They didn’t GIVE us squat.  They had no choice.  We GAVE they the 400,000 figure when if we had not acted the figure would have been $250,000 and up for a hike in federal income taxes.  Yet every yahoo out there in the southern states with a limited mental capacity from education in inferior schools - - these yahoos believe that somehow John Boehner made some sort of “concession” last December on the tax issue, when it’s the farthest thing from the Truth.  Some of these hicks and hay seeds in middle America are probably so DUMB that they actually believe that President Obama is responsible for the drop in median national income and the tight job market over the past twelve years or so.  They don’t analyze.  They don’t investigate any more than the George Zimmerman did the least bit of independent, logical, deductive thinking.  These red state hicks just aren’t wired that way.  They seem possessed of a phobia of “ever learning anything new” that is exceeded only by the Christian Church officials, and that’s a story for a whole other day.  They appeal to an America that never existed.  Even if they themselves have been screwed over by their own politicians they’ve got their heads up their butts and dare not even pull them out and take a look at the world the way it is around them.

Analysis Paralysis

A lot of time we have Pastor Mark’s phrase of “Analysis Paralysis”.   We are told by David Cruise that we’ve all got to accept the “new normal” of getting by with Less, as though it’s some profound new truth and that insisting on the rights we had is “living in the past”.  And David has a different take on the Detroit bankruptsey saying that “Those Union people got greedy and wouldn’t make concessions”.  That’s not the story I was told previously.  But people seem trained like seals at a Marine Park not to see the obvious.  Since when was honoring a contract a bad thing or brieching a contract a good thing?  And you see this abuse of the English language in the Trayvon trial.  Juror B 29 said that “I could not say there was proof that George Zimmerman deliberately killed Trayvon”.  Let’s see.  He had the gun and pulled it out and aimed right at his heart and pulled the trigger.  I call that “deliberate”.  What was never established was whether or not Zimmerman was under any immediate threat to his life.  Another caller to Randy’s show pointed out that it was the prosecution that brought in all of Zimmerman’s “testimony”.   Randy said “I thought it was for purposes of refuting it later”.  Here’s an idea.  Put on your witnesses FIRST and then you can debate whether you want to cloud the issue by giving Zimmerman a “free to tell lies’ pass.  Moe Kelly chimed in on juror B 29 and I am not entirely in agreement with what Moe said today.  Hillary Clinton spoke of the “one million cracks in the glass ceiling”.  In this case what Juror B 29 did was of service to our side because now OUR people are armed with her words.  Moe spoke of “money you can’t cash”.  I think he has her mixed up with Christianity.  Because in that case it’s an oxy-moronic truth that “It’s money you can’t cash- - even if your very Salvation depends on it”.  (Selah)  I assure you - - the other side is cowed by her words because as I said before, “Their greatest Fear was that such a thing as this would happen and that one of the jurors would Break”.  It would be as if one or two of the twelve apostles said “OK it’s all a lie- - we made the story of Christ’s resurrection up”.  I’ll give you an example of “money you can’t cash”.  If a surgeon cuts off the wrong leg and the doctor makes a ponthical message about how “mistakes like this happen and it’s nobody’s fault and I sure feel bad about it and wish there was something I could do” but after this he sends a really threatening attorney penned by his Attorney promising that dire things will happen to the plaintiff if they dare to file a law suit.  Moe Kelly’s problem- - like with yesterday is that he likes to carp at things that aren’t the problem but indeed his very carping gives “aid and comfort to the enemy” because now they can take Moe Kelly’s words and play them on their show.  In terms of Rush Limbaugh, I found myself in major agreement with Rush today in his analysis of why and how the Republicans took back the House for the first time in forty years in 1994.  First of all it had been forty years and people were ready for a change.  Then there was Ft Worthless Jim Wright and the Post Office scandal.  Then there was the Contract on America.  And strangely, most unlike now, there was a “national interests” campaign- - where the Party had a unified message to the voters.  But that after the victory because the right still had not infiltrated the media, the Republican House had egg on their face and the people turned against them, during the time of the “government shut-down” in 1995.  Rush continues to speak of “low information voters” as regards to the Affordable Care Act.  Because everybody hates it- - and too many people think a lot of free stuff will be offered when in reality most people’s insurance rates will go up.  And Rush spend a considerable time with one lady caller talking about various expensive kinds of Cuban cigars and aged Scotch, because “my husband needs to learn to relax”.  OK.

Moe and this lady had some stuff about relations between men and women.  It’s men rather than women who have the more “honorable motives”.  Men want to marry women and have them stay just the same as the day they met then.  But apparently women marry men hoping that they can somehow “fix” or “transform” them.  Men see sex and romance as one and the same.  Women see romance is something that you do to “put a man through his paces” like a champion dog at a dog show.  Whereas men just want to have a relationship to brighten their lives and experience a little pleasure.  Men are in the NOW.  Women are fixed on the future.   It seems to be women rather than men who “compartmentalize’ sex and love.  Many women will say “If I want sex I can get it from another woman or get it from myself more satisfactorily than a man.”  Men see sex as an act of sharing.  Women view sex as a marketable commodity to bargain with.  Often in order to get a date- - a man has to- - as in the case of hunting for a job - - put out a lot of feelers and see which of those accepts him.  Then when they are together- - it’s another case of being at the job interview.  Your dress and looks and speech and what you say and don’t say are all scrutinized.  And of course you dare not over-hype yourself, but all the same you better have “future potential”.   All a woman needs to do in the whole arena is to say either “Yes’ or “No”.   So it’s no wonder they view whether to keep their baby as “freedom of choice”, and also whether or not they will work or whatever after married as “their choice”.  Men don’t have “choices” like this.

This is Friday July 26, 2013 and tomorrow morning will mark the sixth Saturday morning in a row that Dr Levy has not shown, tying last year’s record.  There are various Bible principles that people should be aware of.   For instance the Bible version of Shotenfroida, is the tale of the Edomites gloating because Israel was getting pummeled by Assyria, so I guess we’d call that the Edomite principle.  The Gehazi principle is the “no piling on” principle.  That is- if one person gets a cigarette from a guy who has them, it’s wrong to “pile on” and assume he or she will give them to everybody.  Bones a month or so admonished me about the “Messada principle”, which isn’t Biblical, but it ought to be.  That means- - shades of the Mountain fire- - just because the winds are blowing one direction now, doesn’t guarantee that they won’t again turn in your favor very soon.  The saying "Where there is life there is hope" was used by a captive lady in the doomed Jonestown Cult.  The "Samson" or multiple chance principle states that "Just because you weren't done in by the last time you trusted the Wrong person, doesn't mean you won't be done in by them for sure if you continue to trust them".  My brain can finally function because I just got a cigarette and a roll and a cup of coffee from Janet for the favor of taking Stanley’s food down to him.  Usually this job involves going and inquiring what Stanley would like in the way of food or drink and then taking his mug and bringing him the food.  They had the resident’s council meeting today, which is the first one of those I have been to in months.  The dietician was there and as I was telling Tom at the table later, often I’d like to raise my hand and say “I’d like to cancel what that other guy just said”.  I get nervous when people say the food is too crispy.  That’s kind of like saying the Amazon isn’t humid enough.  I complained about the lack of solid content in the recent taco salads, and the perennial of over-cooked broccoli.  Oh yes, and today is Mick Jagger’s 70th birthday.  We had fish for dinner and the dreaded orange Kool-Aid drink, which today for the first time they promised to eliminate from the rotation because nobody likes it.  We had rice and a mixture of corn and carrots.  We had lemon pudding for desert.  I got a John Black from James after that.

It was this noon hour report of Randy where she spelled it out for me what crooks governor Rick Snyder of Michigan.  He’s the same guy whose walked over local rights before.  Judy just loves it when the European banks override a vote of the Greek people and interfere with government sovereignty.  Now we have the same thing where the good people of Detroit vote NOT to allow an increase of powers of this emergency manager- - but the Governor overrides them.  This was the lead paragraph on today’s blog.  Yesterday afternoon I was perhaps intending to post but got bummed out royal by the numbers doing a major nose dive.  Then later on I could not get the initial numbers page at all but only an error message.  But other statistics pages still worked so I looked at them.  I also read “Next Blog” and occasionally you lose that whole ‘Next Blog’ row but you can back up, and then forge ahead and it will pick a different blog for you.  I also read a lot of news stuff I thought was biased in favor of the Michigan governor and the “emergency manager”.  This bummed me out.  There was finally some Video I saw that represented both sides.  But at the time I was thinking, and still am, that “America has really had it.  I don’t see any way out.  What happened in Detroit could happen anywhere.”  Randy Rhodes pointed out that they will privatize all the schools and guess which race will be “de-selected”.  Someone said that Jury selection is really juror “de-selection”.   I think it’s all those Born Again Christians having kids and insilating them from the real world and telling them they are special and sending them to private schools where they get a highly indoctrinational and skewed history of America, and when they turn thirty-five they become congressmen.

It seems like we were just in Sunset but we weren’t, or maybe I’m getting senile or something.  Today is July 24, 2013 and on this day in history in 1967 my teacher in Plane Geometry at Western recommended I not come back to class tomorrow because he said I was day dreaming too much.  As you know this summer session at Western was the last one before they painted the whole campus.  I noticed that.  It was the first time I actually smoked a cigarette on the school premises,  on the north side of the Gymnasium.  It also heralded a worstening of already bad relations between me and Allan.  This is a little after three and there is on radio or TV on in here so I can at least hear my own thoughts.

Congress finally passed that farm bill where there had been so much contention however it only contains aid for big agri-business and nothing in the way of food stamps for the poor.  According to George Washington’s blog, fresh legislation was passed and signed by President Obama to make it even harder to fight against even glairing health problems with genetically modified grains and such, and they went on to list a bunch of diseases.  This blog also said contrary to recent media hype, that President Obama has been more and not less active in taking away our civil liberties than President Bush was.  It was also pointed out in this piece that with all this apperatus of government at his disposal, surely President Obama could gather secret evidence on big bankers by tapping a few phones.  But seemingly- - what either Big Finance does, or Monsanto Corporation does is of no concern to this President, and that’s sad.

In the morning it was the usual Stephanie Miller.  I went down stairs to get my medication from the guy and mentioned I could use a cigarette.  Marsha M chimed in and said she would give me two as soon as she got her medication.  Actually when I went to her room she opened up her wallet and gave me two dollars and I asked for and got one cigarette.  Richard pointed out that the store was actually open before breakfast but I didn’t go till after, for my usual pack of John Black grape.  We had Raison Bran for breakfast and I’ve switched to white sugar because pink isn’t as healthy.  This morning I weighed myself on an empty stomach and was between 155 and 156 pounds, and that’s encouraging, because it means at any other time I’d way more.  We had scrambled eggs and toast and last minute butter and jelly, and hash browns with catsup on the side.  They have tended the last two mornings to give me two cups of coffee and even extra creamer.  I have Purlita to thank for that.  I need all the coffee I can get.   Some of this talk radio turns into a depressing blur after a while because it’s all so depressing any which way you look.

- - - Meanwhile, Back at the Ranch

A funny thought just hit me.  You know that Viagara commercial about “You haven’t gotten as old as you are now by giving up”.   Get this.  Brian Jones is incarnated as a fifty year old woman, and she’s doing all of these classic Brian Jones licks on guitar and they say this slogan, and the woman slips viagara into her boyfriend’s coffee.  Just a thought.  Let’s talk about that train in Spain that crashed.  Sure it was going 110 in a fifty mph zone, but it’s partially a design error.  The should have banked the turn when they built the track.  Of course on Roller Coasters they get all the engineers out there with their slide rules and design each and every turn the coaster makes based on the speed it’s going.  One other fact that you might find comforting.  You may think you are turning so sharply the car will topple off the track but I imagine those cars are really heavy- - and therefore as long as the center of gravity is within bounds, you can think you are being thrown hard to the side- - but considering the weight of the car, you’re in no real danger.  There is one more math tid bit.  That drop on the Arlington coaster was really streep.  If you’re in the front of the train of cars- - the car will travel more slowly than YOU do- - because it’s being pulled back by the rest of the train.  It’s kind of a modification of the “escaping lobster” principle.  Next time get in the back car and you won’t have this problem, assuming you love to HAVE a “next time”.

According to James Fisher- - Edward Snowden was granted official Assylum in Russia for real this time, so the man finally gets to leave the airport and no longer if like “Charlie” with the MTA blues.  Speaking of transit.  Los Angeles wants to Jew this land owner out of his land near Union station that’s been in the family since 1888 or something but aren’t willing to pay a fair price for it.  Also the LA City council is finally voting to abolish this “get cheated by a broken meter” thing.  They claim only a cintillianth of the meters in the City are actually in ill repair.  I’d like to take a poll of people looking for parking places on a crowded day and see what they think.

We had “carnitas” for dinner but like other times it was just chunks of pork I mixed with the rice, which was decently fluffed.  I used Tom’s hot sauce on it.  Tom is not letting other tables borrow the catsup any more because they don’t return it.  We had yellow cake for desert- which I’m sure has more than 238 calories.  ( - )  I was thinking of all the times I’d prayed to God and not gotten an answer.  God must have had his receiver on today because less than a minute later Richard gave me a cigarette despite his saying he wouldn’t give me any more.  I was just finishing up that cigarette when Marsha was at the door with a ten dollar bill for me.  She wanted me to buy a half gallon of low fat milk and a pack of Phillies, and the rest of my money was at my disposal apparently.  I went to the store and got the milk, and a Coke, which was a lot colder than the one the other day, and the Phillies and John Black grape.  The other time I returned the unused money to Marsha but I got the hint that at least for now I was free to spend the money not used.  I paid James a quarter I owe him- - and have money for another cold Coke, with a quarter to perhaps negotiate a spoon of instant coffee from Glen, thinking ahead.

Juror B 29 dropped a real A bomb on the hopes of those southerners who had hopes no juror would ever have recrimination about their votes.  She says she believes before God, so to speak, that Zimmerman is guilty and will have to answer in the hereafter for his crimes, but is still clinging to the fig leaf of “The Law”.  Of course in the Les Miserables movie they revived an old French saying of “The law is an ass”.   Right now it’s Jeopardy.  Juror B 29 se llama “Mattie”.   I pictured some old lady with some pea thick Hispanic accent.  She was actually young and attractive and well spoken.  But let’s face it, just about any woman looks “young and attractive” considering the women in here.   Joe says he’s only had sex once in the past ten years.  I think I remember the might because I heard them.  Joe surprised me with his remarks about Southerners.  If one were to overhear our conversation, you’d think it was he and not me, who was the flaming liberal.  I guess it’s that Dylan legasy kicking in.  Joe is the John Mc Cain of the group- - sometimes you think he’s allright- - but then drops a conservative bomb on you.

Moe Kelly is another guy who is occasionally brilliant but then really steps in it – sometimes minutes apart.  He began trashing “Smiley Tavis” and also this Dr West black author and sociological researcher.  He says he respects his writing but he disagrees when the remarks both made about  President Obama.  Let’s talk about President Obama using my words.  Obama is a moral coward and too often tends to be all cat and no cattle, and let’s down his base.  I’ve thought about it.  The way I would have handled the Jeremiah Wright thing is to say “Don’t judge a man on one sentence of one sermon over a twenty plus carrier.  That’s silly”.  I would have invited Rev Wright to come with me at campaigns and speak highly of him- - and get reporters to accept the fact that he was a part of my world.  But this President always cedes half the field before a single shot has been fired.  He has this near pathological obsession to make concession after concession to the tea party right, only to be called more names than before.  It never occurs to him that nothing he does will ever make them happy, so why even try.  Jennifer has this same ailment when it comes to appeasing her son.  If President Obama can’t stand up to the tea party how can he possibly negotiate skillfully with foreign powers if America’s prestige were ever on the line.  This president is devoid of real moral character or conviction that isn’t for sale.  He “leads from behind”.   Tavis had it right when he said that “The President didn’t initiate a trip out to that platform to make that speech because he wanted to - - he was pushed.  And when he was done he had said nothing, and so nothing will get done.   You know in the Bible there is a portion that says that Lot, Abraham’s nephew, was so desperate to please the maurading sodomizers outside the door that he said to them, “I have two unmarried daughters.  I will send the out to you and you can do what you will with them”.  God neither praises nor comdemns this utterance but lets us decide for ourselves.  President Obama once said “I would no longer betray Jeremiah Wright than I would my own White grandmother”.   But the thing with Moe Kelly is that his loyalties are divided- with KFI vying for his affections.  I guess he feels he dare not offend them.  You know Hewey Newton in the book Revolutionary Suicide once condemned someone for “Approving of bigoted cups who abuse their powers- - if those cops happened to be Black”.  Newton condemned this “My race right or wrong” doctrine.  It gives me no comfort to hear someone say “Well it looks like Zimmerman is guilty but if you just had “The Black Experience” everything would look different to you”.   Like I say I have personal reasons in my own life for backing way off from logic like this.  What Zimmerman did was a criminal felony and what the court and jury did were gross brieches of ANY known legal decorum in any US Court.  Why the President doesn’t have the cajones to just come out and say it- - I’ll never know.   And as I said at the dinner table, isn’t it strange that while J Edger Hoover was vilified by many, the FBI under his leadership did a hell of a lot more for Civil Rights advancement than the Obama administration ever did.   And not to rub it in or anything but Barock Obama has prosecuted way fewer (if any) Wall Street offenders than George W Bush did.

Last night during the ABC game shows - - I went down to the west patio and Lisha was there and she said I could come to her room for a cigarette.  I came in there and I learned that Silva was her roommate now.  I didn’t know that.  Elizabeth was also in there and greeted me.  LIsha seemed to strike an almost deliberate sexual pose on the bed there.  But my mind was on nicotine ingestion more than sex.  Later on I tuned in Mike Meloy on computer but the station kept blacking out and rebuffering or something and then wouldn’t work at all.  I played a few other little favorites in I Tunes.  The Middle was on- - but then off the computer now I turned it to chef Ramsey.  They had eliminations on the red vs the blue team.  It was some mushroom dish.  Then at nine they were out in the desert wilderness and one time had rabbit to prepare over an open flame and the other had pidgions, I hope aren’t germ carriers.  I’d thinking if I had my choice I’d go with the rabit for dinner fare.   I slept well because I’m not getting much coffee now.

On the soap opera it wasn’t a real eventful day but Raphael Hernandez has finally come around and asked for Kate who came to his bed side.  So he remembers that they were having an affair, hopefully, fondly.  Funny thing about Kate.  When I first saw her in that series twenty years ago she looked nearly ten years older than I do.  Now she looks nearly tenyears younger than I do.  How did that happen?  Of course like Clark Kent and Superman, you never see Will Horton and Father Eric in the same room, let alone actually have a conversation with each other.  In termf of coffee break, I went to the courtyard after two and had one cup, and of course I went in the morning and had one cup.  Then Janet brought out a bottle of Coke and poured cups for a bunch of us, and gave us a piece of Danish, and also some fancy chocolate cookies, and a cigarette.   James Fisher on his own let me have a good cigarette- - and I was able to pay him back the quarter.

I had Stephanie Miller on in the morning.  I took my medication early.  We had Cheerios for breakfast and then we had a fried egg and toast and butter and jelly, and Purlita poured me an extra half cup of coffee after I had drunk it down some.  And now you are just about caught up unless I see something else in my notes.   We had kind of a hybred cheeseburger – patty melt for lunch, and a potato chip and six grapes.  The soup was also of varied texture and worth seconds, which didn’t come.  Wheel of Fortune is on now.  Nora came in to dust and polish.  I still have a considerable number of coffee filters from way back when.  Someone said that coffee makers are running over a hundred dollars for a good one.  It’s a good thing I live in a different world.  The only other person I’ve talked to about the Trayvon Martin case was Sarah yesterday when she brought it up and asked me first my opinion, and then she said that she believes Zimmerman is guilty.

America's Future As A Republic Seems Doomed

It's funny how certain libertarian people are concerned about government wire tapping.  Why don't they ever wire tape these big financial institutions - - banks and investment firms - - and gather evidence against them?  Of course in the case of Goldman Sachs or something the misconduct of that firm was done literally under the noses of government on site investigators from the Bush administration.  They literally Saw what was going to happen in a few months and did nothing to stop it.   So what about congressmen?  Why can't the Obama administration wiretap John Bohener and be appraised of every word he says to his colligues in terms of a "battle plan" against the Obama administration?  Why is it seemingly only innocent civilians like you and me that seemed to get wiretapped and harrassed?  There is one libertarian blog, which has fallen out of favor with me now so I won't name them, who states that the Obama administration, despite media reporting to the contrary, is MORE active in governmental abuse of power of all sorts than the Bush administration was.  Now we come to Governor Rick Snyder of Michigan, who is a Republican- - who single handedly seems to be orchestrating Detroit's demise.  Of course the People of Detroit took a vote and decided they did NOT want the "emercency economic manager" to have all of these new powers that had been planned, but the Governor overroad their wishes.  I've heard other story about the State of Michigan overruling the will of local cities.  Of course it wouldn't be because Detroit is 85% Black, could it be?  They put out PR that this "early intervention" in pushing for an outside takeover of the City is a good thing because it Prevents losses of bond holders and such.  Randy Rhodes brought out this yesterday and I"ll repeat it again.  This is my Main Point.  Bond holders and creditors take a risk when they ante up their money.  They are hoping their money will Make money.  The higher the interest rate of the bond- - the greater the risk is assumed.  They know all of this going in.  It's part of the rules of the game.  Just like an Insurance Company once they give you a physical and are satisfied as to the state of your health- - and then assign you a policy or rate accordingly- - can't come back later and say "Oh we're changing our mind now.  We think you had a pre existant consition and we're not going to pay".   Tell me you new Overlords of Detroit- - are things like Labor Union Contracts and Pension Funds- - things that you decide you just "don't have to pay" now.  In other words it's "Tough luck, Charlie" for all of those Union members who negotiated to work for reduced wages and in compensation would get something down the line in the way of higher pensions of promised Health Care.  Many of these workers for whatever technical reason- - are not even ellagable for Social Security.  So in other words they have been Mitt Romneyed.   This is Mitt Romney's panacia- - engage in what for anyone else world be risky is not economically suicidal behavior- - yet he gets his Golden Parachute- - and everybody else gets screwed.  Not only are all the union members and those awaiting health care and pensions all screwed- - but the tax payers of Detroit as a class are screwed.   Because Detroit has assets like valuable paintings in Art Museums, and Belle Island Park and other assets that are rightfully owned by the People.  You remember them.  In every criminal case it's always The People verses so & so.  How could they just forget that?  The bottom line of all this is that there is no faith or trust in America any more.  It truely is being "bought out" by Corporations.  I didn't think Democracy was for Sale but it literally is.  I mention the following them with greater urgency.  Because people like Glen Beck and Judy and other tea party people- - keep going on and on about our "mounting debt" and how China is our creditor and how they are going to "pull the plug" at any moment and send us all into economic chaos.  Then you hear people on the right doing- - guess what?  They say "OH well we're OK because we have all that government land in the west and oil holdings. If worse comes to worse we can sell off our National Parks to pay the bill".  Only some sicko whose mind was already pre-disposed to even think along such terms would come up with an idea so absurd.  But in Detroit we truely see that such Mitt Romney type thinkers are alive and well- - despite their defeat at the hands of the voters.  These people haven't completely destroyed democracy or "vox populi", but they're working on it!

This is kind of a sicko age anyhow.  You have Antony Wiener who was disgraced once and resigned from office, and now he's running for high office again- - and once again more reports surface about Wiener's on line sexual exploits.  His wife stands by him now just as Hillary stood by Bill during the Jennifer Flowers caper of January 1992..  But there is a difference.  Because Bill Clinton had his "come to Jesus moment" when he knew he was caught, and changed his ways and for the last fifteen years or so we haven't had a problem with Bill.  Just also he's changed his high cholesterol diet, so he'll live longer.  But Antony Wiener gets caught doing the same thing again despite his great protestations of "regretting the mistakes he made in the past".  Just as an aside here- - it's interesting that when a White person sins it's a "youthful indescretion", like going to frat parties and getting drunk and using drugs and perhaps even sexually assaulting women.  But when a Black person falls int sin- - he becomes part of the penal system- - and id ID'd  that way for life.

The Zimmerman case is still being talked about even after a week and a half.  It's strange that a conservative would ever say "You liberals like to go on feelings and we conservatives like to go on the facts".   Just by the way the next person to say "The Zimmerman jury verdict was fairly arrived at" I'm going to start throwing punches.  The facts are that physical evidence reveals Zimmerman to be a liar - - which is a pretty good trick because he never took the stand and swore to tell the truth to begin with- - so nothing Zimmerman says is admissable- - either first hand- - or 2nd hand heresay.  The voice evidence is clear indication that it is NOT Zimmerman's voice crying "Help" on that tape.  We can all agree on that.  As you know there was a lot of cultural bias on the jury.  There were character references for Zimmerman like that woman who had a lock installed on her door to- - - keep all those Black criminals out.  Zimmerman is portrayed as an all around nice guy in a suit and all and people called him "George' or even "Georgie".   Meanwhile nothing is done to humanize the victim.  In fact Rachael Jantel was trashed by the attorney- - and a reason why jurors voted not guilty because "they just didn't like this witness".  Not because ANY of her vital testimony had been impeached- - but you know she's a fat teenager and doesn't speak well and- - by the way She's BLACK.  Zimmerman is never referred to as "The suspect".  That designation is reserved for the victim of the crime, who is on trial.  As such- - the Victim is intitled to Character Witnesses of his own since apparently he has to prove he wasn't deserving of being murdered in cold blood.  If anything is in question in a trial- - then this necessitates witness to prove it one way or the other.  Hence Trayvon Martin should have had character witnesses.  Nothing was done to "humanize" the victim.  But Zimmerman's state of mind is also in Question and needs to be resolved.  The way the Florida laws are worded "state of mind" of the shooter are paramount, hence any witness that would help establish state of mind would be essential.  For instance "Witness number Nine", who was crossed off the witness list.  Now let's get to more profound cases of Jury misconduct.  First of all there were at least two major Errors in the Judicial instructions to the Jury.  This isn't an attorney having an "off day" but is grounds for a mistrial right there.  Garbage in - garbage out- as they say.  We have more profound problems with this case.  Juror B 37 should never have been seated because of the Attorney connection to the defense.  But also apparently during an unsupervised visit with relatives information was leaked to and from this technically Sequestered jury.   It gets worse.  You know in the movie "The wrong man" there is a scene during boring court testimony and one of the jurors calls out "How long do we have to sit and listen to this crap?"  I would have just gaveled him down and went on with the trial.  That's not what happened.  A mistrial was called in this case for juror misconduct.  You see "impatience' is a removable offense.  This jury was impatient because there was pressure to wrap this thing up by the weekend because some of them had plans.  This is not allowed.  It's even possible that actually bullying was going on.  But here's something you've probably never heard before- - those of you still looking for a "smoking gun" in the case.  If you'll remember the jurors came in and inquired about the requirements for conviction of Manslaughter.  For some reason the Judge would not tell them.  She just said "Go back and see if you can come up with a more focused and specific question to ask the Court".  One would then presume that the jury's first agenda was to try and do that and ask the Court and have questions they have about Manslaughter answered before they can go on.  But the next thing you know they come back with a six to nothing verdict of Acquittal.  In other words they were in this "Confused" state all the while and never resolved a question most fundamental to even arriving at a Verdict.  This is indeed Juror misconduct.  It is most certainly grounds for  mistrial.

Here's a really bad "Defense" nightmare scenario.  Your client withheld a major piece of condemning evidence from you, the Attorney.  This evidence falls into the hands of the Prosecution.  You explain it away saying "yes, I knew the victim, sure - - - but I had to take action because he was a dirty cop, don't you know".  Attorney says "So you knew him.  This gives you a possible motive".   Client.  "Of course I had a motive- - and this guy was on the verge of ruining everything- - which explains the video".   Attorney says "You mean you had to shut him up or something"?  Client says, "Well sort of.  He was the guy who had the evidence that I was trying to steal back - - - about my son's Own case of attempted murder that was covered up".  Attorney.  You realize how this makes you look to any jury?   Client.  Well yes- - but the worst thing is my Son was also involved in cover up of this case too.  But your wife ratted me out.  That dirty sneak!  She shouldn't have gone to the DA.  If she had gone to you instead- - then both you and her could be charged with being Accessories.  Meanwhile I'd get a different attorney and claim that "Since my attorney and his wife are  accused of a felony for this reason I was denied a proper defense in my case"   It's just a variation of the theme about a defendant who murdered both his Parents and then pleads the mercy of the Court "Have mercy on me because I'm an Orphan".

It seems that Prince William and Princess Kate when they showed "Baby Cambridge" to the cameras - - were less formal.  There was not the "proper separation" as with Charles and Dianna- - and Prince Charles was dressed in a formal suit.  This child's upbringing will feature further departures from tradition than we even had in the rearing of Princes William and Harry.   Meanwhile Pope Francis has tried to humanize himself.  He pays his own Hotel bills- - and carries his own luggage.  He went on this tour of Brazil to celebrate "national youth day" but the motorcade made a wrong turn and was thronged by people- - who wanted the Pope to personally hear their Confessions.  This is his first return to South America since he became Pope.  He's obviously trying really hard to be a "Pope of the people".

The School of Hard Knocks

I was going to call this page “The Reformed Libertarian Party Platform” but then I realized that would be endulging in perhaps too much self-promotion.  Every time a Catholic Priest teaches on the topic of sex, you realize that something he “Does all by himself”.

People in the know say that for a genuinely “Annointed” statement of Truth, there is but one Translation - - but there are many Applications.

Your Fate Ain’t Worth Shit Unless You Start Complying
You Really Ought to Learn the Art of Dying

Just as I crossed the finish line I saw a supernatural sign and I knew that back-pack filled with nails was about to blow.  Well I limped on down the road as far as I could and when I collapsed it was right in front of this Red Neck looking joint called “Hell’s Bar and Grill” that had one of these flip flop signs hung over the door that read “Do Drop In”

GUNS DON’T KILL – PEOPLE DO
SO LET’S KEEP THE GUNS LEGAL AND BAN RED-NECKS

Remember the Constitution says that nobody under seventeen or over age 45 should be allowed to carry a gun in the new eutopian “well regulated militia”.

The word “Ebonics” actually refers to the study of the culture of any ghettoized group of people who have in common a deprevation of opportunities – Regardless Of Race

In my Libertarian Party I want to make it makes clear that Freedom goes hand in hand with Responsibility and that everybody should be “Free to face the consequences of his own actions”.  So therefore in 2008 I would have insured that those irresponsible banks were “Free to Fail” rather than reward bad behavior.

Sometimes you do a good deed for another and then later live to regret it.  One of two factors is operative.  If the act was really compassionate and Good, then you should never regret it no matter what happens later.  On the other hand there is every possibility that you Should Indeed Regret Your Decision.  In such a case- - said act you did was never Good to begin with.

As mayor of Los Angeles I’d be much more concerned that the people in dire pain and other various medical ailments can get their medical marijuana- - and I’m far less concerned about their being “Too Many Retail Outlets”.  When did Burger King very worry about that?

Up with hashish – Down with booze
Bud Green never makes the news

(Jewish Surgeon) “You know, I love a good briss in the morning”
(Colligue)  Oh really,  I prefer to wait for a late morning brunch of Swiss Steak and an omlet”

If trained, docile pit bulls are prevented from Reproducing
The only pit bulls reproducing will be the viscious ones.

“I and my husband have an ideal marriage and I score an A in sexual performance.  Why we’ve been having sex ever since we first got married and I achieved orgasum both times”

Neil Savedra told Abraham, “You know of course you have to decide what you’re going to do.  Do you seek your own happiness and the happiness of your wife and innocent son, Isaac, or to you value maintaining God’s honor more.  You know that unlike a man, God on his own cannot forgive the slightest transgression, without someone having to pay the price”

Abraham responds:  You mean that in order to maintain God’s honor I have to commit one of the most barbaric acts known to man, and it’s OK - - as long as it has all the Religious trappings.

Samantha asked Stephano the following:  “Now I know this piece is the King.  That’s you.  And Marlena is the Queen.  Queen of the Night.  But what I want to know is which piece represents Will Horton?”  Stephano responds thussly:  “Oh - - he’s the violent black guy who was let out on parole too early.  Any more questions?”

When Neil Savedra tells you sometimes you have to allow a Necessary Evil, then I say unto you the following simple truth.  EVIL IS NEVER NECESSARY

Marcus, as Mayor do you regret your support of Governments and Unions sticking to their negotiated salary agreement?   Marcus:  “I always believe you’re only as good as you word.  As Maya Angelo says “If we are people of our word –  we will be known by that.  If we are not people of our Word - - alas, we are known by that also.  If you don’t have your good word in this business you don’t have squat, and if Garsetti and Gruel don’t believe that, that’s their problem.

I believe that Government should function as the Referee in a football game, enforcing the rules and keeping things honest.  But the Government should NOT become a Player itself.  Neither does the government, as in the case of Obama Care - -have the right to go to the other teams huddle and which plays are off limits because if they were employed it would expose the incompetence of the other team, and declares “We need talent parity”.   DOWN WITH GOVERNMENT THAT FALLS TO THE LEVEL OF ITS OWN INCOMPETENCE

Don’t you think Will Horton should stop to think just once as he French kisses his lover, Sonny Kiriacus, “Just what – Other Things - - has Sunny put in his mouth over the years?

If you asked Father Eric the age old question of “If a major flight crashed on the border between Canada and the United States – where would they bury the Survivors?” Father Eric would say ever so diplomatically, “Well I suppose this is a time for compromise – so make it 50 – 50”.

Sylvia Brown was once grief counseling for the relative of a killer flu virus in 1919, “Now there there now - - you have to realize that the killer flu is never coming back - - ever”.

The Obama administration was caught in a lie.  They said that the CIA supplied all of the “talking points” after the Bengazi incidents.  But in truth major changes were made- - some twelve changes in the talking points - - and key reference to Al Qaeda and other terrorists – were all expunged by the Obama administration.  And we want to ask the President why.

When a mad dog attacks one person, we investigate.  But when Assad of Syria kills 70,000 of his own people the Obama Administration hides under the bed like a little kid - - and hopes either the problem will just go away- - or Daddy will show up and make me forget all my fears.

A wise man knows when he has “Just dodged a bullet” and chalks it up to having obtained favorable Divine Prodence- - and then goes and Acts Accordingly.

Five Things strike me as Unusual.  To see Jesus wearing glasses, to see Jesus reading a copy of the King James Bible,  to see Jesus wearing a wedding ring,  To ever witness Jesus following any Order from anyone,  and for Jesus to say to Another something like the following,  “Yes.  Yours is a good and righteous cause and I intend to do anything I can to support you”.

Old Mac Donald had a show – E – I – E – I – O
With a Homo Here- - a Homo There
Here a wink - - There a wink
Everywhere a Blow Job
Mc Donald Carrie had a show - -

The Despot says to anyone who will hear him “My people submit to me because they do so willingly” and perhaps even “I respect every man’s freedom of choice”, and perhaps dare to even quote the old Eagles song “Many people live their lives in chains - - and they never even know they have the key”.   But I dare this Despot whoever he is - - to leave the door to his holding cell open just a crack to allow all of the captives to see Daylight - - and Behold you will see scads of people “Voting with their Feet” as they scurry out of danger.

It’s absurd to ask the question of ‘Do you feel your campaign is so weak you have to run attack ads?”  Think about it.  Suppose you’re running for Pete Richard’s job as youth counselor.  And your opponent has spent the last fifteen years in prison for battery and in fact is a convicted felon and a registered sex offender.  Don’t you have the right to bring up this “elephant in the room”.

Janet gave me a “Double Shot” can of Espresso and it gave me the energy to make regular coffee because before that I had been too lethargic to move much.  She gave me a can to give to Bill.  By the way the Swinging Madalians (who made "Double Shot") and the Ramsey Lewis Trio and Mel Torme not to mention most of the James Bond stuff- - are from a group on friendly terms with the Federation called the Torinos  - - - and that word translates as "Comet" in case you were curious.

Here’s a new slogan Raphael can use in his next job resume.  “Up with gays; down with Straights; we’re the ones who really hate”.  Just think about it.  Here’s another one.  “Some of you may be into S & M but the government shouldn’t make it mandentory.  For instance should the average pastor on Sunday mornings have to do all of his preaching on sexual morays wearing a muzzle on his mouth?”

That woman from Bangladesh was rescued from a massive earthquake rubble and had been down there for seventeen days.  A bulldozer happened by after seventeen days and she mustered all the strength she could in her weakened condition to call out.  She got water going through back packs- - and was able to breathe because of a drainage pipe nearby.  But often it was ninety five degrees- - and in the nights she had to exist in total darkness.

Apparently Sylvia Brown committed what Mal Evans calls “a sin of cosmic proportions” by telling Amanda Berry’s mother that her daughter was dead”.  Sylvia Brown not only bears her own bad karma but the bad karma goes to DES RHO of Miami, as it’s referred to by the Federation.  Unfortunately so many psychics are “tone deaf” as to exercising any sort of tact, let along personal responsibility for their actions, and this is sad.  Now they all get a bad name.

J A G:  Mr. Cruise, are you done cross examining the Witness?
Tom Cruise:  As a matter of fact I'm not.  I would like to elicit the following material from this witness.

Tom Cruise:  Marcus, you've done this whole long posting and not once have you broached the subject of Abortion.  What is your position on Abortion:

Marcus Arelius: Oh, I'm all for them.  For instance is a manned space flight's prospects of success viability should happen to be nill, or something.

Raphael Hernandez "Broke Type", which is an offence against Mal Evans.  And Mal Evans does not like to be Offended.  (That's a term you Bible school freaks know all about)

Vincent Price (Chief Mason)  "Marcus, would you lose your Cosmic Birthright because Chuck Smith builds a religions Empire"

Marcus, keeper of the Yule log (alias Ramsey Lewis or whoever)  Let me put my response to that question in as succinct terms as Possible - - - NO.

Randi Rhodes should be careful not to let reverse sexism creep into her dialog.  I’m not giving Laurena Bobbit a pass by any means.  And Andrea Yates was the woman who drowned her four children in the bathtub and the only thing on “Desktop” that I have is in a Dog Days file in late July 2006 and there is also an album precursor to that Sixties thing of August in blogger of disperate material listed under the “Kill, Kill, Kill” file.  Susan Smith was the one whom Governor Bush refused to pardon and whom Bush made joked about and who claimed she was a born again Christian.  I think she ran over her kids with a car or something, and then called the police and claimed that Blacks abducted her children.

In terms of the soap opera there seems to be no shortage of bad things to say about Nick.  For being a complete nothing - -his private life has become awfully important to a lot of people.  Even Raphael is caught up in this epidemic of “Homophilia”.  You have your word - - I have mine”.  I don’t know how you can call it “obsession” merely not to want two queers raising your baby.  And the thing is before the wedding, weren’t Gabriel and Will Horton free to “emote” and do all that stuff and “fall in love with each other” if that was in the cards?  You can’t really say that Nick Fallon “manipulated” Gabriel into marrying him.  If I were him I’d say “OK, fine!  I’ll walk away from this marriage and leave a divorced new mother to sue for child support for someone other than me.  If a spoiled, rich, and immature twenty year old is what she wants- - then who the hell am I to get in the way?”

North Korea is not happy about President Obama’s visiting with the South Korean woman leader. If I were the President I would just say to Kim Jung Il - - "Well, I suppose we could start exchanging inter-contenental nuclear missiles right about now.  Who do you suppose which of us would Win?"

The Los Angeles Kings eliminated the St Louis Blues in ice hockey in round one.  Of course when it comes to the Ducks and Detroit Redwings - - the Federation has been backing the Redwings.  I hope that isn't a problem.

Bad News just came over the P A.  Federico just announced Dr. Levy will not be here today.  He's been missing every other week- - like clock-work, for some time.

A Libertarian is someone who believes that a well running machine is one that's treated with a Liberal ammount of lubricant.

In Reigelian the word "Veir" (pronounced Veer) means "To stay on a certain pre set initerial course and not be subject to outside interferance.

A "Reisinger" in Sirius A Romulan is a Sailor, which means the Travelers play an active part in the ship's opperation.

Delaney is a Federation word (official Mal Evans English letter spelling) that means "Steady, Reliable, Consistent".  This is something we all should be, not just one faction.

Marin in Romulan means "Pertaining to the ocean" pronounced "Mareen".   Marinar means to "study the ocean" and  a Marinaro is an Oceanographer.

When two approaching Massive Objects exceed the speed of light with respect to the other's Ether - - they fall out of each other's event horizon.  They may appear later- but it will be in the rear view mirror.  This is where I hope to see the Tea Party very soon.
